How We Built MamaHeart From Zero to 500+ Pins

MamaHeart is a parenting content brand built entirely from scratch. No existing audience. No existing content. No existing traffic.
In a few months, we took it from zero to a fully automated content system: 27 SEO blog articles, 500+ Pinterest pins publishing on autopilot, full Amazon Affiliate integration, and a Python automation pipeline running daily without manual intervention.
This is the full case study.
The Brief
MamaHeart targets first-time mothers — women navigating the overwhelming world of newborn care for the first time. The niche is competitive but evergreen. Parents always need guidance, and they always need products.
The goals:
- Build a professional content hub from scratch
- Drive consistent Pinterest traffic to affiliate articles
- Generate passive income through Amazon Associates
- Automate as much of the system as possible
Phase 1: Building the Content Hub
The first step was the website. We built MamaHeart on a clean, fast platform with a design that communicates warmth and authority — exactly what first-time mothers respond to.
Brand palette: Rose #C95F80, Cream #FEF9F2. Fonts: Playfair Display + DM Sans.
The site launched with a homepage, about page, and blog section — ready to receive traffic before a single article was published.
Phase 2: Content Strategy and Article Writing
We identified the highest-opportunity content categories for the MamaHeart audience:
- Newborn sleep and schedules
- Baby feeding (breastfeeding and formula)
- Baby gear and registry essentials
- Postpartum recovery
- First-time parenting tips
Within each category, we targeted specific buyer-intent keywords — terms that new mothers search when they're ready to buy or need an immediate answer.
We wrote 27 SEO-optimized blog articles, each:
- Targeting a specific keyword
- Structured for readability (short paragraphs, clear headers)
- Including contextual Amazon Affiliate links
- Ending with a clear call to action
Phase 3: Amazon Affiliate Integration
We set up MamaHeart's Amazon Associates account and identified 24+ product categories relevant to the niche — from baby monitors to nursing pillows to diaper bags.
Every affiliate link was embedded naturally within relevant articles. The affiliate tag was consistent across all links, ensuring every qualifying purchase was tracked and credited.
The result: a monetized content hub ready to earn from day one of traffic.
Phase 4: Pinterest Pin Generation
Pinterest is the primary traffic engine for parenting content. New mothers spend significant time on Pinterest — searching for ideas, products, and guidance.
We built a pin generation system using Python and Pillow:
- Brand palette: rose, cream, and white — matching MamaHeart's visual identity
- Pin size: 1000x1500px (Pinterest's preferred format)
- Content bank: 500+ pin entries across multiple boards
- Generation speed: full batch generated in under 5 minutes
Each pin targets a specific keyword and links to the most relevant MamaHeart article.
Phase 5: Cloudinary Pipeline
Every generated pin image was uploaded to Cloudinary — giving each one a permanent, publicly accessible URL.
The Cloudinary pipeline:
- Python generates pin PNG locally
- Script uploads to Cloudinary automatically
- Cloudinary returns public URL
- URL is stored in the content bank CSV
This step is invisible to anyone looking at the final pins — but it's what makes automated publishing possible.
Phase 6: Pinterest API Automation
With 500+ pins generated and hosted, we connected the Pinterest API and built the publishing pipeline:
- Publishing rate: 6 pins per day
- Board distribution: pins distributed across 10 keyword-organized boards
- Schedule: automated — no manual publishing required
- Tracking: every published pin logged with its pin ID and publish date
The pipeline runs on a schedule. Every day, 6 new pins go live on MamaHeart's Pinterest account — without anyone touching the system.
The Results
A fully automated parenting content brand:
- 27 SEO blog articles live and indexed
- 500+ Pinterest pins in the content bank
- 6 pins publishing automatically every day
- Amazon Affiliate links across all relevant articles
- Python automation pipeline running without daily intervention
- Zero manual pinning required
Traffic from Pinterest began within the first week of publishing. Articles started ranking in Google search within the first month.

And the same system can be built for any niche — parenting, home decor, fitness, finance, food, travel, or any topic with an active Pinterest audience and Amazon-compatible products.
