How to Set Up Amazon Associates for Your Blog
Amazon Associates is the easiest affiliate program to start with. It's free to join, works in almost every niche, and pays commissions on everything in the cart — not just the product you linked to.

Before You Apply
Amazon requires that you have an active website or blog before approving your application. You don't need thousands of visitors — just a live site with real content.
Make sure you have:
- A published website (even 3-5 articles is enough)
- A clear niche or topic
- Contact information visible on your site

Step 1: Apply to Amazon Associates
- Go to affiliate-program.amazon.com
- Click Sign up
- Log in with your existing Amazon account (or create one)
- Enter your website URL

Amazon will give you immediate access to start creating affiliate links. Your account will be fully reviewed within 180 days — during which you need to make at least 3 qualifying sales.
Step 2: Get Your Affiliate Tag
After signing up, you'll receive an affiliate tag — a unique identifier that looks like: yourblog-20.
This tag is appended to every Amazon link you create. When someone clicks your link and makes a purchase, Amazon uses the tag to track the sale and credit your account. Keep your tag somewhere accessible — you'll use it constantly.

Step 5: Add the Required Disclosure
